MetroGIS endeavors to create an on-going forum for interaction between geospatial data producers and consumers in the public and private sector.

Key themes of the public-private interface include:

• To form and foster relationships of geospatial professionals in the public and private sector;
• To facilitate sharing of geospatial data between the public and private sector;
• To determine areas of shared need and interest;
• To conduct research and prepare resources for the use of all participants to inform and strengthen their work;
